rich bio

Rich is an independent cultural enginneer working out of a super-secret compound at the edge of the "Bohemian Alps" of central Iowa.

His primary consulting work focuses on renewable energy and sustainable agriculture issues, including educational outreach, project implementation and management.

His passions include organic micro-farming, arcane technology,  human powered machinery, kinetic sculpture, bee keeping, and science fiction. His influences include the work of R. Buckminster Fuller, Robert Anton Wilson, Alfred Korzybski and Karl Hess, and he attempts to practice  Fuller's concept of "Comprehensive Anticipatory Design Science".

His current clients include the Union of Concerned Scientists and Imagine Grinnell.   He has also worked with Go Solar, the Iowa Farmers Union, the Iowa Renewable Energy Association, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Bergey Windpower, The Iowa Honey Producers Association, EcoLips and the Thorland Company.
